Here at Leesville Animal Hospital, we proudly support local rescue organizations including the Raleigh Doberman rescue. Why? Well, there are a million and one reasons why, but the biggest reason is the Triangle homeless pet population!
Why We Support Local Rescue Organizations Like the Raleigh Doberman Rescue
If you read our post last week about being a community animal hospital, you will know that giving back to the community is important to us. Giving back to rescue organizations like the Raleigh Doberman Rescue isn’t just about giving back to those who run the rescue, though. While we love helping our neighbors, we also love to know that we are helping the Triangle homeless pet population.
Here in Raleigh, we are no exception when it comes to having a large homeless pet population. Sadly, our shelters and rescue organizations are regularly packed full and in dire need of help. Without the help of donations and support from the local community, these organizations have a much smaller impact than they otherwise could. You see, their funds are limited and their staff only have so many hours in a day. This means that not every dog can be saved from euthanasia and not every cat can be given a home.
As true animal lovers, we hate to know that animals are suffering as a result of human neglect and we also hate knowing that so many of us have the opportunity to help, but don’t. That’s why we dedicate ourselves to raising funds for local homeless animal organizations and rescues like the Raleigh Doberman Rescue. We may only be one family-owned business, but every helping hand makes a difference!
If you’d like to help us in our efforts to support local animal charities and rescues, keep an eye out for our fundraising events throughout the year. If you want to start helping right away, check out this list of Raleigh animal charities who could really use your help!
